Dual Enrollment

What is dual enrollment?

Dual enrollment permits eligible high school students to enroll in college courses concurrently with high school classes. Students earn college credit for courses that meet the curriculum requirements of approved high school courses. Classes may be offered on one of Gadsden State campuses, online or onsite at participating high schools. Students may take courses during the fall, spring or summer semesters.

Who is eligible?

  • Students in the 10th, 11th or 12th grade
  • Students with a 2.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale OR a 2.0 for approved technical programs only
  • Those receiving high school approval

How do I enroll?

  • Complete the admissions application to Gadsden State
  • Complete the Dual Enrollment Form
    • Once the form is completed by the student, it will go through an approval process from GSCC Dual Enrollment Representative to high school Counselor, and then back to the GSCC Dual Enrollment representative for final approval. Once the final approval step is complete the student will get an email to their Gadsden State email address confirming that they can register for the requested courses.
  • Register for classes.
